David Tibet

I was born in Malaysia in 1960, and I am the face and the mask behind my paramusical project Current 93.

My paintings reflect my obsessions and daydreams, and channel the many cartoon apocalypses I see and hear in my heads and my hearts. When not recording and painting, I like to translate Coptic apocryphal texts, as well as Akkadian and Babylonian epics and epics from cuneiform. I collect Photographs of Ghosts and I love Cats.

A retrospective exhibition of my art, and of my other sidereal lateral activities, will be held at the Begovich Gallery at California State University in March 2019; an extensively-illustrated catalogue will also be published which will show much and more of my work.

Thank You and God Bless You All.
