Denise Requenez

is a 28-year-old self-taught/visionary artist from Texas, currently
residing in New York. Born into a family of many female artists, she
has been painting on and off since childhood. Writing what she calls “intuitive” poetry and free verse from a young age as well, her poems often accompany her artwork - creating one message. She describes her inspiration to paint and write as emerging from a strong sense of spiritual guidance. “Nothing approaches the passion and joy that I feel when I create. Painting has brought me into this world, with my spirit strengthened and my purpose evident. Vibrations flow through my fingers and colors paint the surface. An image appears with a message that is to reach one or more souls. By creating with my hands, I experience the beauty of this world, both the seen and the unseen. Only by painting can I send love and light into the world and pass messages from heaven to earth.” |
