Zagajewski
was abandoned at birth; he was found in the church of Saint Barbara in Warsaw.
He was places in an orphanage where he was given a name and was transferred
between orphanages several times during his childhood. He never speaks about
his schooling. He became a mason and helped on several stucco projects.
In addition, he creates altars out of hundreds of pieces of delicately carved
clay. He has lived in Wloclawek, Poland for over twenty years. |
