David Jacot

David was born and raised in a loving family along Lake Biel in Switzerland. On the one hand his childhood was influenced by the idyllic surroundings and on the other hand by his illness; at the age of 12 years a cerebral tumour had to be removed and this effected his subsequent health. He attended a special needs school, where he felt protected and safe. After an education in house-keeping, he worked as an "all-rounder" in a protective institution.

As a young adult he began to draw and paint outsider art. In addition, he also became interested in making pottery and playing music. Since 2012, he has had the opportunity to work in the artists' collective 1-2 times a week in the studio, this makes him very happy.

He says: "If I have a rage on someone, I'll calm down immediately when I can draw or paint"
